History of Lycon
Established in Australia in 1978 by Lydia Jordane who became an aesthetician in the late 70's but could not find a wax that worked the way she expected for herself and for her clients. Coming from a family of cosmetic chemists and a mother who was a couturier with an amazing eye for detail, the obvious solution for Lydia was to develop her own wax.
Experiments took place over the kitchen stove and after many trials, the right wax formula was born, which she reluctantly sold to a few nearby salons. Before long Lydia's Lycon wax was in demand all over Australia and not long after orders flowed in from many parts of the world.
Lydia was the first to start using the soothing and conditioning properties of Azulene, Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Rose and Lavender in depilatory wax. Today Lydia and her staff travel the world training salons in Lycon's special waxing techniques and helping them develop the best waxing business possible. Lycon wax is the market leader in hair removal wax and is used around the world by top spas and salons, frequented by international models and celebrities.
Using only the finest resins, natural ingredients and aromatherapy oils, Lycon delivers superior performance, removing stubborn hair as short as 1mm (1/16”).
